The 2011 Red Etude is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 25% Syrah. The aromas of black cherry, raspberry, candied fruit and dried cranberries are complemented by spicy, toasty oak notes. As the wine flows across the palate, you will experience a wave of sweet dried cherries, cranberry, and raspberries, with a hint of light toast, that leads to a long, totally seductive, finish. This wine has a “too die for” rich velvety mouth-feel. The blend gives a great expression of each of the grape varieties, marrying all those individual characteristics to produce a wine that will gently knock your socks off. Melding three celebrated varietals means countless food options: think spicy pizza, baby back ribs or marinated flank steak.
