2011 Holmes Harbor Cellars
Harvested from grapes from Walla Walla Valley on 10/10/10. The grapes were destemmed, pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks for 25 days. The wine was then aged for 15 months in both new and 1 yr French oak barrels. It is intensely purple and delivers an aromatic array of cedar, tobacco, lavender, mineral, and black cherry. Round, ripe, and rich on the palate, it has excellent depth, volume, and balance. The oak aging brings out the tobacco and spice making this a perfect wine for your holiday dinners.
